Memories of Life

Many years ago....NO, I'm not going to tell you...when I was in university doing some research for something or other....or maybe i was just reading a science journal, I came across an article about John Conway's Game of Life

A simple no player game usually played on graph paper or on a checker board.

The rules are simple:
  1. Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies, as if by loneliness.
  2. Any live cell with more than three live neighbours dies, as if by overcrowding.
  3. Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives, unchanged, to the next generation.
  4. Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbours comes to life.
